TREK FUEL EXe⚡
Share
Months long we had rumours and sneak peeks... Well, it's finally here! Visit our Tokai or Mowbray bicycle stores and experience the Trek Fuel EXe in person.
The Trek Fuel EXe brings back the real experience of mtbiking with a natural feeling power assist featured in a super small, neat and quiet package.
The new TQ HPR50 drive unit is lightweight(but that doesn't mean low power)! It has 50 Newton meters of torque featuring less parts and a more quiet ride than ever on an e-bike.
An iIntegrated display tucked away in the top tube with easy to read ride data makes sure that you don't loose your main controls in case of a crash. Paired with the Trek central app, you'll always be connected. A new real time range calculator feature gives you ease of mind whilst you're out on the trails.
A 360watt hour battery gives you up to 4hrs of riding time. The charger port area now above the water bottle on the bottom tube features a cleaner look and stays out of the dirt and mud whilst your heading through your beloved trails. With the chargers new location, it is also easier to install the 160 watt hour range extender which fits in a standard waterbottel cage. HOW COOL! #Clever
Travel features are: 140mm in the rear and 150mm fork up front that'll chomp up anything on chunky descents.
GEOMETRY
1. The Fuel EXe is built with trail bike geometry that’s slack and capable out front with a 65-degree head tube angle.
2. A 77-degree seat tube angle keeps you perched for punchy climbs and long pedal fests up fire roads.
3.With a compact motor, the Fuel EXe’s chainstays are able to stay tight at just 440 mm, keeping the ride nimble and playful.
In summary: A long reach & steep seat angle creates stability on steep high-speed descents, but provides an effective climbing position on technical climbing terrain resulting in a beautiful pedalling position.
Trek's famous Mino link is still present and will change the bikes head-angles by half a degree for your desired set up. The Fuel EXe allows for a 27.5 wheels to be fitted should you want to create your unique bike.
An Active braking pivot avoids the brakes from locking up on technical terrain and on this new bike Trek's also added a larger seat tube diameter for strength and more robust long travel dropper posts.
Overall, this new Trek is very quite; an Extra quite motor, guided internal cable routing and rubber frame guides that have been fine tuned to perfection! The OCLV carbon frames help with noise absorption from the trail & we can't wait to show you how beautiful these bikes are in store!
We've got the Fuel EXe⚡ 9.5 & 9.7 in store! View them here or find your nearest store.
