The History of Pinarello

Pinarello began in 1952 when Giovanni “Nani” Pinarello opened a small bicycle shop in Treviso, Italy, driven by a passion for racing and a simple goal: to build the world’s best bikes. What started from humble roots quickly grew into one of the most celebrated names in cycling, with iconic victories, innovative design and performance at the heart of the brand’s ethos. Pinarello frames became known for pushing engineering boundaries as the company evolved alongside the sport.

Over the decades, Pinarello has forged a legacy of excellence through partnerships with elite racing teams and riders, helping secure some of the sport’s biggest wins, including multiple Grand Tour victories. Today, the brand stands as a symbol of both Italian craftsmanship and high-performance innovation, continuing a tradition of success that began more than seven decades ago.
